The problem is a result of a secondary steering torque sensor that is improperly calibrated in some of the vehicles from these years. If the sensor in your vehicle is improperly calibrated, the wheel of your car may move to the side without your turning it. Ford dealerships will update the software causing the problem for free, and some dealerships offer free pickup and delivery service. Additionally, if you already paid to have the problem fixed, you can request a refund for those costs from Ford.
